EASTER TABLE

Are you ready to have fun with the dining table at Easter?

I love having fun with place cards, decorations, or napkin holders.

Easter is the festivity of rebirth, so it is important to set the table with bright colors, eggs, and decorations. The egg is a symbolic object, both in the Christian tradition (the chick that hatches from the egg represents the resurrection of Christ) and in the Pagan one, ancestrally symbol of life (ancient Persians were accustomed to exchanging colorful eggs during religious ceremonies).

The typical colors of Easter tradition are yellow and orange, but you can also choose pastel spring colors like light blue, purple, pink, or green.

The flowers to prefer are gerberas, tulips, primroses, and peach flowers. It is important that the scent does not bother your guests. Otherwise, if you are crafty, you can opt for paper flowers.

Then there are eggs, real ones, painted ones, made of chocolate, candied, as many as you want… I prefer the white ones, but don’t let yourself be influenced. The important thing is to let your creativity break free and have fun.

You can involve your children, so that way it will be a true celebration to set the table.

If you want to personalize the seats at the table you can cut paper place cards and handwrite the names of the guests with a pencil.

Fundamental is the table cloth, that I prefer in linen, and napkins (please, set aside the papers ones at least for these occasions) to fold with a decoration and set on the bread plate or next to the main one.

Honestly, I do not like those origami-like pieces on the plate, for hygienic reasons since you would have had to handle the napkin for quite some time.

Bon ton rules are quite rigid, but we can lighten them, keeping in mind that in the end there has to be harmony and the guests need to feel at home!

Happy Easter to you all!
