Relooking is an interior project to change the appearance of a room, a place, a corner or an object, enhancing the image in a short time and at a low cost.
Working with accessories, lights, furnishings, colors, often restoring, integrating or trying to save what already exists help remodels the environment.
I'm telling you exactly as an example of relooking that I have just finished working on.
In this living room, the wooden floor was uneven due to an infiltration and they had intervened with a gray resin that had not altered the level of the floor, but had made it all colder.
The room needed to be warmed up: there was a gray leather sofa, white walls, synthetic curtains that shrunk after washing.
However, the customer did not want to insert colors, but only use gray tones and possibly blue (which are still cool colors).
We selected wallpapers, choosing one from the "Glamora" company which with a 3D render adapted it to the size of the wall. In this way, we did not use a repeating subject, but rather a custom design, obtaining great effect but with neutral tones.
Re-utilizing the existing steel support cables, I made white linen curtains of "Fishbacher" production to give maximum light to the room that is exposed to the north. I wanted them to be made of a refined and timeless material like linen, with a simple curled and longer-than-normal lengthening to suggest more softness to the environment.
I then looked for an old carpet with vintage treatment that ranged from gray tones which blended to blue.
The final touch was to combine blue velvet and barbed turquoise pillows in gray / blue tones, warm materials that contrasted with the cold colors.
Kartell's "Ghost" lamp completed the space with really nice lighting effects.
The other small intervention in the kitchen-living room was to lacquer in matte gray the backs of the kitchen, that were in beech wood, to remove the presence of the wood that was linked to the no longer present wooden floor.
